senior year - feature film

released in 2018, senior year is Canada’s first feature length film created solely by high school students. born out of a collaboration between two high school students, john cardillo jr (grade 11) and zane frantzen (grade 12), senior year brought together over 125 students from five local high schools across the georgian triangle.

Cole is an average, run of the mill, student approaching his last few months of high school when he losses everything - his only friend, his chance to get into University, & his sense of belonging. At his lowest point he meets Samantha & everything begins to change for Cole. Going on amazing adventures, meeting new people, & finding himself.

senior year premiered on June 29, 2018, with subsequently showings on June 30 & july 1, and all proceeds from senior year were donated to my friend’s house - a local shelter for women and children.
